The first ever YouTube program for beauty gurus
YouTube and digital media in general has changed the way consumers approach beauty. The latest beauty products to hit the market are now available to see up close and personal. No more going to a store hoping the color or texture is ideal for your skin, the guess work has been pretty much eliminated.
In 2010, YouTube and L’Oreal Paris have teamed up to pioneer the first dedicated channel aimed to be a one-stop shop for fans of the most popular video bloggers in the beauty space.
Destination Beauty was an online beauty resource that not only scopes out the hottest make-up and hair trends for women but also teaches them how to recreate them.
My role on this project was to lead executive production, interaction design and art direction. That project was initiated at Google in collaboration with David Linder, Jamie Berkowitz and Karyushi Casper.
