In November 2021, Google Pixel partnered with Verizon, Marvel and Snapchat to launch a collection of 5 AR filters allowing fans to control the Avengers super powers. One of the most ambitious immersive projects ever launched, the experience was powered by the latest Snap’s machine learning innovation and featured a total of 42 unique visual effects.


The 5 filters were dedicated to some to iconic characters such Dr Strange, Thor, Captain Marvel, Antman & the Wasp and Gamura (Guardians of the Galaxy). Working hand in hand with the Marvel creative team, we were able to push the limit of immersive storytelling by pushing cutting edge technology (body tracking, object recognition, style transfer, etc) while staying true to the Avengers canon.

The experiences were supported by an ambitious 360° campaign was promoted across Google, Verizon and Snap properties with a collection of video ads that drove over 200M+ impressions (and counting). The Avengers Lenses were the #1 trending lenses on Snapchat for over 6 weeks.

Matthieu Lorrain led the whole program acting as both Executive Creative Director and Executive Producer and working closely with the Disney product leadership. His role was to drive concept ideation, pitch to leadership, creative execution, while overseeing a cross-functional team of 50+ creative directors, designers, creative coders, 3D artists and producers. Matthieu was also responsible for structuring the very complex production, organizing the roadmaps, reporting structures and communication between 5 brand partners (Google, Disney, Marvel, Verizon, Snap) and 2 production partners (Trigger, Jam3/Media-monks).
